Some of the best vegan food available. We took the in-laws when they visited — as meat lovers, they were skeptical at first, but they absolutely loved it, and we do too! Take note the food truck does move around, so be sure to check their website for their current schedule.

When we were first deciding to move to Bellingham, we stumbled upon this place. We were already sold, but this just sealed the deal. If you like oysters and shellfish, do not miss it. Nothing is better than eating freshly shucked oysters by the bay. They have a great selection of local beer and wine too. This place can get quite crowded on summer weekends. It’s worth it, but if you can go off peak, it’s better. Also, it is super dog-friendly.

Absolutely beautiful park with a lake and a series of waterfalls. It’s a great place to walk or run, and it’s easy if you are traveling with pets or kids. Follow some of the smaller trails off the main ones to find some beautiful waterside spots.

Lake Whatcom is huge and absolutely beautiful! A popular place to kayak or swim, if the weather permits, but otherwise, just a lovely lake to walk around. There are play areas for kids and dogs.

For stunning water views and easy hiking, head down Chuckanut towards Clayton Beach. You can park at the designated places off of Chuckanut Road and walk the interurban trail to the trail leading to Clayton Beach.
