Great views of the castle, particularly good for watching the festival fireworks.
A great place to walk, it's pretty big and you can see wonderful views over the city and right out to the Firth of Forth. You can also get a free view of various animals at the zoo! There is also a secret bunker here!

You can walk all the way from Leith to Balerno on this trail (or vice versa) and we are right next to it. Heading from ours towards Leith takes you through Stockbridge and into the New Town where there are tons of lovely bars and restaurants. If you make it down to Leith you will find the same and can easily get a bus back again to save your legs.
