Definitely the most unique restaurant in town is Mettawas Station. It is built into an old train station beside old train tracks that are now a bicycle trail stretching from Leamington to Windsor. It is definitely the first time I have seen a restaurant on a bicycle route. It is one of the local favourites for its food and atmosphere.

If you are a good hiker and want to be able to hike for several hours in a wooded area, then the best place is Point Pelee National Park. You can enter the trails as early as the entrance and exit as far as the southern tip of the island, which is the southernmost point of mainland Canada, commonly referred to as the Tip. This can take yo to 4 hours to complete. What is nice about this trail is there are many places to stop along the way to rest and use the bathroom, such as beaches, birdwatching areas, and the visitors' centre.
