Brielle City center: You can notice that the city is old, because Brielle used to be the fifth city of Holland in the Middle Ages, Brielle is also one of the best-preserved fortified towns in the Netherlands. The city includes parts of the 17th century. A number of sights that you should not miss when visiting this city include the: "Saint Catharijnekerk, the old city walls and what is also nice to see is the Arsenal". The Arsenal used to be the city's weapons store and has now been converted into a library. Brielle also has an old mill, called 't Vliegend Hert, which is also worth a visit.

Hook of Holland
We love Hoek van Holland beach. Do not go to the main beach if you don't like crowds, if you do like it, Hoek van Holland main beach offers lots of beach cafe's and lounge areas.
What we mainly love is PLSTK Cafe, which is also the place where you can park your car for free, and where you can enter a more quiet beach area of Hoek van Holland. Very good food with a beautiful view of the dunes & Sea
Next to that the beach offers the opportunity to rent a surfboard.
Delft is a place we both love, we have lived in this small city for 1 year and Sven has studied here.
Delft gives you the vibes of "Small Amsterdam". The buildings are beautiful, the people are nice, and there are many many good restaurants and bars.

Delft

"De Pier" in Scheveningen is more touristy. its a beautiful beach and there is a lot to do; eat, drink, enjoy the atmosphere.
What we ourselves love the most is; "Het Zwarte pad Scheveningen" this is a part of the beach with amazing beach bars, sometimes they have parties throughout the day or at night; some nice places are: Indigo, Colorado and next to those 2 there are a lot more nice beach bars just have a look what you like the most.
Kijkduin Beach: This is a lovely place and great to start your kitesurfing experiences with just a beginners lesson. Blow Kitesurfing School / Beach house has a vibrant atmosphere and you can enjoy a whole day at the beach and this bar.

The vessel and Metro
you can always take the bus, but this takes a little bit longer, when you would like to do it a bit different you should take the vessel to Maasluis and from there you can take Metro's to different places like Rotterdam or Delft.
Tickets you can just buy at the start of the vessel.

Beaches
Maasvlakte beach / De Slufter --> Quite impressive long beach. On a good day you are able to see seals and on a windy day kite surfers.
Rockanje Beach: this is a more vibrant beach, also beautiful to visit from the house.
Oostvoorne Beach: this beach is more quiet, lovely for kitesurfing, but just know you have to walk 15 minutes before you are in the water.
