Praia do Barril is about 1 kilometer from the apartment and is accessible by train or by foot. It has a few restaurants and bars and also a naturist section.

Tavira is a beautiful town to visit. It's charm due to the architecture of the old town, it's churches and of course the Gilao river make this small town a very charming one.

Faro airport is only about 25km away. There you can rent a car to come to Santa Luzia OR get a bus from the airport to the train station, then a train from Faro to Tavira and then taxi to Santa luzia
