An easy walk through the Tangletown neighborhood brings you to Green Lake, a lively park for activities of all sorts - walking, running, inline skating, skateboarding, slack-lining, frisbee, birdwatching (keep an eye out for great blue herons and bald eagles!), people watching. Not a bad place to catch Pokemons, either! :)
The lake is surrounded by cafes, pubs and restaurants.

No worries, though, because it is a delightful area to explore classic working class Seattle bungalows, lovely gardens, and some great cafes, pubs and restaurants.

The lovely campus of the University of Washington is a great place to explore. Nice architecture, great libraries, vast lawns, excellent museums (see Burke Natural History Museum and Henry Art Gallery), and pleasant, car-free urban walking.
