There is great little touches here like free champagne toast at mid-mountain and benches for you to stop and strap your boots on. Parking can get hairy on busy weekends so get there early, or take the bus up there. The village has great shopping and an ice rink which gives it that Euro ski town feel.

Parking can get hairy on busy weekends so get there early, or take the bus up there. The village has great shopping and an ice rink which gives it that Euro ski town feel.
Home of the 1960 Olympics, and still bringing in the best of the best. Challenge yourself on some of the areas steepest terrain. The village is always doing free music and all sorts of activities. Check out High Camp for ice skating at 6,000 feet or come during the summer and check out the pool and roller skating rink.

A west shore GEM, don't be put off by the face of the mountain you see from the road. This resort hosts some of the best tree skiing in the world. Great for powder days, and a great place to save some $ on skiing. The views of the lake from the runs will totally take your breath away. STUNNING
