There are quite a few arcades out there that boast the newest and most high tech games on the market, but only a few that still have the classics. Games like the original Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga and Asteroids usually get pushed to the back and put to pasture, but at Flipper McCoys they advertise their pride of their collection of the great oldies. Arcade games are not only the only type of games they have, in the back they have pool tables and air hockey. They also have games that you can win tickets for some good prizes And be sure to check out the newest Interactive Laser Tag. Family Friendly Atmosphere. No alcohol served on premises. Kids love it here, so please bring the whole family. There's plenty of room and plenty to do!

When Hell's Point Golf Club opened in 1982, Golf Digest called it one of the best new courses and it was ranked as one of the 100 best-designed courses in the country. Renowned architect Rees Jones designed the course. He incorporated the many natural features provided by the golf course's location in the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. The fairways are edged with saltwater marshes and Jones included his signature sculpted bunkers along the greensides. Just a stone's throw from the ocean, the golf course is as scenic as it is challenging. The second hole is one of southeastern Virginia's toughest golf holes with out-of-bounds to the left, trees to the right, and a sloped fairway that leads to a well guarded, double-tiered green. This par 4 is the no. 1 handicap hole at When Hell's Point Golf Club. Address: 2700 Atwoodtown Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456 Phone: (757) 721-3400

iFLY is an indoor skydiving experience that creates true free fall conditions, just like skydiving, without having to jump out of an airplane. iFLY’s vertical wind tunnel generates 1600 horse power from 4 powerful fans, creating a wall-to-wall cushion of air on which you can safely float. There’s no parachute, no jumping, and nothing attaching you to planet Earth. It’s just you and the air, and it’s the most incredible adrenaline rush. No experience is necessary. Just about anyone can fly, including those with physical disabilities. Children as young as 3 to adults as young as 103 have flown with us. There are only a few exceptions—for example, if you’ve dislocated a shoulder or have had a neck injury, weight limit is 300 lbs

The dining options listed here are very diverse. When on vacation at or near the Ocean we prefer the ambiance of restaurants with water or ocean views, and / or the option to sit outside in comfortable seating to enjoy the sights, smells, and sounds of being waterfront, whether on the Boardwalk near the Ocean, or sitting waterfront on the Bay / Marina. Some restaurants in Virginia Beach offer BOTH...excellent food and seating offering water views. While other establishments offer outstanding oceanfront or water views, but they may be best enjoyed with just a beverage of choice and an appetizer or sandwich. A few restaurants listed here don't offer any water or ocean views at all, and they may require a short drive from the main Atlantic Ave strip. But they are still included on the list because they represent some of the better dining options in the Virginia Beach area, offering excellent menus and well prepared dishes. So if you consider yourself somewhat of a "foodie" looking for a great meal, and don't mind not having any water view, then some of these non-waterfront options might be worth trying out.

Located on the VB fishing pier. Informal eatery for seafood, including crab cakes & chowder, on Virginia Beach Fishing Pier. Very rustic and casual dining. Food is decent with good soups (if you are a soup person). Highly recommend the shrimp wraps for lunch (when available), very economical prices relatively speaking ($10-$11 for lunch special). A Virginia Beach Bar with Craft Beer & Burgers on the Boardwalk. Great burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, good beers, and great seating area. Prices are slightly upscale, but the food is usually very good and the portion sizes are generous. Local longtime restaurant known for Creekside dining offering seafood & sandwiches with a full bar & live music. You may have to hunt a little to find this restaurant if this is your first trip. It is in the middle of the back water near Pungo. The restaurant has a fairly large indoor area with a bar. There is an outside deck with a bar. In addition, there is a small picnic area and a large "recreation area." Customers can go for an intimate dinner or a larger group of people on the deck with the bar or plan an event with a lot of friends. If you have a boat and you know the sea lanes to Muddy Creek then go by boat and tie up at the dock. There is a pretty area near the dock and the water that is lighted. Situated under a canopy of old growth trees on Lake Joyce, this natural gem serves seasonal fare from tidal Virginia. The menu reflects freshness with a distinct emphasis on showcasing the inherent colors and flavors of the ingredients. The cafe's bakery provides all its breads and deserts and is open for retail on the weekends. This fresh approach to food done in a natural and unpretentious setting has been a local favorite for twelve years. Everybody in town loves this cafe and antique shop for its low prices and farm-fresh produce. Featured on the Food Network, the "righteous" gourmet panini chicken salad sandwich made with homemade bread, shredded chicken, peach chutney, curry yogurt, fresh tomatoes and mixed greens was Guy's favorite. Also try the duck sammies. Leaping Lizards Cafe 4408 Shore Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23455 Phone: (757) 460-5327

Virginia Beach offers more than just one of the best Boardwalk and Beach area in the country. The area sits in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay eco system. So there are many local Bays, State Parks, and Marina's to visit where you can rent boats, enjoy guided tours, enjoy water sports (jet skis, parasailing, paddle boarding, kayaking, etc), hike or bike nature trails, or even visit other nearby beaches. Virginia Beach is also about an hour away from multiple historic locations that played a significant role in America's Colonial history (Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown). So you may be interested in a Day Trip to one of these locations.

The Cape Henry Lighthouse is a lighthouse at Cape Henry, the landform marking the southern entrance to Chesapeake Bay in the U.S. state of Virginia. The Lighthouse is situated near the “First Landing” site where English settlers first set foot on their way to settle in Jamestown. Built with the same Aquia sandstone as much of Washington, D.C, the lighthouse guided sea travelers to safety for almost 100 years. Preservation Virginia members placed a tablet on the tower in 1896 to mark the site of the “First Landing” and in 1930 an act of Congress deeded the Lighthouse and surrounding land to the Virginia Historical Preservation Society. Today, Cape Henry Lighthouse is surrounded by the Joint Expeditionary Base Fort Story (JEBFS). Please review the guidelines provided by JEBFS for entering the military base before your visit. False Cape State Park is a 4,321-acre state park located on the Currituck Banks Peninsula, a one-mile-wide barrier spit between the Back Bay of the Currituck Sound and the Atlantic Ocean, within the city of Virginia Beach, adjacent to the state border with North Carolina, and just north of Mackay Island National Wildlife Refuge. False Cape State Park includes hiking and biking trails, a visitors' center, environmental educational and primitive camping facilities. The park can be accessed from the north on foot, bicycle, or seasonally available tram through Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge, or from the south on foot or bicycle. Boat access is possible from any shoreline. The park is named False Cape because from the ocean it could be easily mistaken for Cape Henry, which lies about 20 miles to the north at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. Ships and boats looking for Cape Henry instead sailed into the shallow waters, where they could easily run aground.
