This place is a Raleigh Institution! I spent many days and nights studying here in college and its still one of my favorite coffee spots to absorb some local culture and some mocha chocolate chip bread.

They rule the bread scene in Raleigh and have a great selection of unique breads with their own creative twist. They also always have cold brew coffee on tap!

If you want some quality indian/pan-asian food check out Garland! The owner, Cheetie, has been recognized for her incredible menu. If you're lucky you may even catch her playing a show at King's Barcade with her band "Birds of Avalon"

They are known for their whiskey and bourbon selections. I'm not much of a whisky drinker, but I love to take friends here who are because they have a good local selection of beer!

Great place to take the kids on a lazy saturday afternoon. There is a train that circles the park (with a friendly conductor and all!), as well as a carousel and a small pond for paddle boating.

This spot is a great place to bring a bottle of wine and a picnic lunch. Sit among the roses, throw a frisbee. (Bonus - its right next to Raleigh Little Theatre - catch a local play!)
