I really like this tour. I found it really interesting. This is the home of the 5th president of the United States, James Monroe. Formally called Ashland, it is adjacent to Thomas Jefferson's Monticello.

The downtown mall is a pedestrian mall located in the heart of Charlottesville. There are unique shops, restaurants and several music venues. A great time to go is late in the afternoon. Do some shopping, stop for dinner and catch some music. Don't miss a visit to this part of town. A must experience, especially the Free Speech Monument.

This is the local's place for bagels. As a transplant from New York I am a bagel snob, but even I have to admit these bagels are very, very good. There are three locations. Sometimes there is a bit of a line, but it moves quickly.

Another very delicious and uniquely Charlottesville place. The interior is a fun mix of old diner and movie posters with delicious food and good wine. Fun!
