Maya Archaeological Sites

The most amazing Maya site out of the 60 I've visited. Tons of wildlife, great hiking trails, and Ca'ana is still the largest man made structure in Belize.

Sightseeing

Colectivo taxis to Bullet Tree Falls are only $1us per person. They are located in the center of San Ignacio, across the street from the old Belize Bank building. Other taxis(which charge around $10us) almost always say that the colectivos have stopped running, but they run 7 days a week, from sunrise to 7:00pm. Bullet Tree Falls has the best swimming spots on the Mopan River. Great for tubing and canoeing. One can even kayak to town in under 2 hours. There are some nice spots for food and drinks. Be Pukte has a Maya mound on site, and the Riverside Restaurant is right at the bridge, and has the biggest palapa around, and a nice swimming area.
