Food Scene
This is one of the nicer places in
Fairbanks for dinner and is usually our go-to for date night or a business dinner. It's a good place for a large group as well but a reservation is a must. Sometimes we start out the night with a drink at Lavelle's Tap house down the street and then walk over for our reservation.

This is one of my favorite breakfast in Fairbanks. The country fried steak is my favorite. They also are a bakery and the cinnamon rolls and cookie are pretty great.

If you like Thai food, Fairbanks has more Thai restaurants per capita than anywhere I've been, and it's really good. Although it depends on the day of the week, I think the Thai House is my favorite. Yellow curry chicken, Pad Thai, Thai tea. Yum Yum, I'm getting hungry.

They also have crab and prawns but the main staple here is the prime rib. It's great for a large group, but expect dark, low ceilings and old-time gold miners and construction workers wearing work clothes.

I have two of his knives, and they are amazing. He sells them all over the world. They are hard to get. Last time I checked, there was a 2-year waiting list for a custom knife, but you should still take a look inside for a cool Alaskan experience. Plus if you get lucky he will have a knife for sale in the case. I love the place, take a look at the porfolio book.

Parks & Nature
This is a great place for a hike in the summer time. It's probably 30 minutes from town on the way to Chena Hot Springs. Bring your mosquito spray. This is very important. One time I forgot mine and I will never again.
