Lake Trasimeno is a must for anybody visiting the area! Lake Trasimeno is Italy's 4th biggest lake and has three islands, of which two are accessible by a ferry which you can take from one of the main towns around the lake such as Tuoro, Passignano and Castiglione Del Lago. Not to forget that this is where Hannibal defeated the Romans!! Isola Maggiore which is only a boat ride away on the lake is a recommended visit.
