Websters is the only dog friendly cafe in State College. (Cafe Lemont also allows woofers but that’s more of a haul.) Yogi, Sebastian, and I spend a lot of time here. They also sell used books and records.

One of my favorite things to do is go to Mad Mex during happy hour (4:30p to 6:30p) and eat a dozen buffalo wings by myself. Mad Mex Monday has endless mini burritos and good margarita specials.

I don’t know if nightclub is the right descriptor, but you can dance, drink, and inhale e Hookah. They play hip hop and electronic jams.

Local Whiskey has a nice selection of rotating taps and good food (and a huge selection of whiskey, hence the name, but I don’t give a hoot about whiskey). I hate having to cut my own lettuce, but I love their wedge salad. Also, the fries. Get the fries with ranch. Happy hours and specials change with the day of the week.

This tiny bar has State College’s nicest, friendliest bartenders. Every week day at 7pm you can gather there to watch Jeopardy! with a crowd. It is also State College’s gay friendly bar and all are welcome with a smile. Happy hour 10p to 12a daily.
