Sightseeing
Ancient castle remains, famous as being the birthplace of King Arthur. This has been disputed over the years, however recent excavations have proved that this was indeed an important palace at this time. Site is owned and maintained by English Heritage.

Walk along the beautiful valley up to the 60' waterfalls. This is one of the most sacred and picturesque wooded valley in Cornwall, right below The Granary! Please wear suitable footwear as the valley is usually muddy and uneven.
The waterfall site is privately owned and there is a charge to view. This has recently changed hands and is much more commercial than has been in the past, with new walkways, retreat centre, new age shop and a large cafe, which may not be appreciated by everyone looking for the natural beauty of this special place.

聖內克坦峽谷
Fore StreetWalk along the beautiful valley up to the 60' waterfalls. This is one of the most sacred and picturesque wooded valley in Cornwall, right below The Granary! Please wear suitable footwear as the valley is usually muddy and uneven.

Very special wooded valley opening out to the mouth of the Trevillett stream, situated just below The Granary. Bronze age maze rock carvings and ruined mill, plus spectacular rock formations. Good as a start to South West Coast Path walk to either Tintagel or Boscastle.

Beautiful, historic and unique sheltered harbour, with Elizabethan harbour wall. Although there are now a few fishing and lobster boats that work from Boscastle, it's history is a trading port dating back beyond the time of the Phonecians, which the buildings alongside the harbour clearly show.
The main ancient village is situated in the steep street that goes up from the Wellington Hotel to the Napoleon Inn and is well worth visiting. Most people only see the bridge and harbour area and miss the essence of this beautiful village.

Yes, it is pretty and worth a visit, but does get incredibly busy with visitors!
Recommend visiting either early or late in the day.
In the summer months the Fishermens Friends local shanty singers perform by the harbour most Friday evenings, with donations for charity. As these lovely guys are now global superstars, suggest checking out their facebook page/website and arriving early!

Medieval church on the cliff overlooking the castle - in fact it’s older than the castle!
Limited free parking for walks on the Coast Path and the Glebe Cliff, with amazing views of the castle and from Hartland Point to Trevose Head.
