Turn left and walk along The Esplanade and you need go no further for great cafes and restaurants. You could have breakfast or lunch at a different one every day of the week. From closest to furthest my favourites are Frontbeach anytime for Greek inspired delicious dining, Senor's for a late bar style drink and bite, the ever popular Torquay institution that is Growlers bar and restaurant, Fisho's for beachside up market fish and chips, Moby cafe in a converted house that is a pretty cool coffee and breakfast spot and Bombora cafe down on Fishermman's Beach right next to the boat ramp. Alternatively, you can step out the door and head right towards the Torquay Surf Beach where you can have a great coffee at the architectural rusted steel kiosk whilst watching the surfers catch a wave. The Otway Fly is a tree top elevated walkway through tall and magestic trees. If you want to visit the bush here is the spot. Personally, I think a half hour round walk at ground level through the Sate Park at nearby Triplet Falls is better and its free! Several waterfalls cascade down a stunning fern lined gorge. If it has been raining all the better as the overflowing falls and smells of the bush are superb.
