Wonderful Brazilian comfort food. The family restaurant serves the best Brazilian tapas their is in Sweden. Don't forget to consume lots of caipirinhas and take a stroll along the canal floating just outside (you'll see a beautiful white castle on the other side used by the Swedish Armed Forces).

Don't forget to dare try the Swedish speciality pickled herring, an essential part of most Swedes Christimas, Easter and Midsummer dinners. And since you are eager to discover a traditional Swedish dish like picked herring you can't pass the proper accompanying beverage: Aquavit. Ask for the waiters advice on what aquavit to try, open up the conversation by saying that you have heard "Bäska droppar" is the kindest to aquavit newbies. :)

Start of by buying ice cream at Fryst, home made ice cream by one of Stockholm's most celebrated specialised ice cream bars. The bars is located just a stone's throw away from our apartment. Finish off by taking a dip in the sea if the weather allows (the water is strictly controlled and is amazingly clean).

Luxury destination number one. Combine the visit with a stroll along Biblioteksgatan and Birger Jarlsgatan and you have covered most luxury brands around.
At NK's lunch restaurant and café Botanique you find great lunch sallads (take the elevator to the top floor). My favourite sallad right now: "Umami bomb". The place is run by Björn Frantzén, the master mind and head chef of Frantzén (the only three star restaurant in Sweden).

This classical store, known by 99% of all Swedes over the age of 25, bursts of patterns and colour by legendary fabric and interior designers Josef Frank and the shop's founder, the formidably woman Estrid Ericson. Added bonus: 100% of all profits go directly to supporting research through the shop's foundation. The shop is pretty pricey indeed, but there is plenty of small gifts to buy to your loved ones.

Getting Around
The metro station closest to our apartment is "Fridhemsplan". Don't go all the way to the black spot on the map to the left though, just walk to the mall "Västermalmsgallerian" and you'll find the metro station underneath it (much closer to our apartment).
