Casual dining, calimex foods--great burritos, tacos, beer all in a double redwood palapa. This is were my wife and I and had our first meal together, so we go way back. I like "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof"

Great vegan dining. Excellent variety featuring salads, alternative pizza (really good the next day reheated too). Try the air fries and yam fries. Nice fresh food-local hallmark establishment.

Terrific local beach, relatively safe, nice walking and running on the sand with great views; you can take your dog. See seals in the water, boats go into the harbor at Bodega, pretty calm place.

Big redwoods--they say a redwood takes 100 years to grow a foot in diameter, and there are some big ones in this reserve. Outside of Guerneville which is rife with local color and on the river. Go!

This is a sweet spot to walk down a fragrant canyon to an intimate beach. There is wildlife and wild flowers all around. When the tide is low one can walk north or south to connecting beaches. Fun!
