Even if you are not a gin lover (the gin menu is the most extensive I have ever found in Portugal), but appreciate fish tartar, risottos and raviolis, you will enjoy this menu signed by Portuguese chef Miguel Castro Silva. The restaurant occupies the interior patio of a new Arabic building and is quite an esthetic experience, as well.
€20-25 pp (add 5-15€ more if you have Gin)

You can have dinner here, too, but I’d stick to the drinks and enjoy the splendid views from the terrace over the River Tagus, Alfama and the Castle.

The original entrepreneur who launched this bar in the 80s is the same as launched the Pavilhão Chinês and you can see it in the decoration. Given the location, it’s much less touristy.
