Every high street (local shopping & entertainment area) in London is different. I have been to Camden Town only twice since living in London from 2013. Why? Well neither time did I return without getting terribly drunk and having a massive hang-over next day. If that is what you want to do, try it!

Most people pay 25 Pounds to go to the top of the Shard for photos. Instead, you can just buy a beer here, sit and relax, and take awesome photos of London's skyline. In my case, we got a bottle of champaign!

Among all the major burger chains, I definitely recommend Burger & Lobster. For 30 something pounds you get a burger and a lobster! This chain can be found in multiple locations, but expect Oxford Street and Soho to be extremely busy. Bank, however, is usually a lot quieter.

Cycling and Walks
Soak in the feelings of London life by taking some walks or cycling from the house.
10 minutes walk from the house, definitely recommended on a sunny day. You will see children playing in the fountain, which by the way is illuminated beautifully at night. There will be lots of people sitting by the canal side, some with a beer. At weekends there is often a market selling food and small items.

Cycle there or take a bus. Although it's 20-30 minutes but it's not that far. There is a zoo with deer inside this park, and tennis courts and coffee shops. The Church street next to the park has some interesting pubs and restaurants.

Regents park is within half an hour walk or 15 minutes cycling and is really big and beautiful. Have a picnic there on a sunny day.

Tourist Attractions
Definitely not in your tourist guide books. But here are some cool things to try without spending much!
10 minutes by train from London Bridge and within public transport zone 2, you can get a great view of Canary Wharf and visit the observatory where GMT is defined. Stroll through the Greenwich Market before boarding a river boat that takes you all the way to Westminster - the best way ever to see everything along the river Thames!

Just walk along the river between London Eye and Tower Bridge, take photos of the many monuments of London, see the little shops, stop over for coffee or beer, and don't forget to see the City of London skyline!

The National Gallery has some excellent paintings collections and is free to visit. The additional bonus is that every summer, the London Symphony Orchestra offers a free open-air concert there. After your visit, stroll to Chinatown for some food.
