We love to hike in the San Jacintos Mountains. The tram takes you up to 8,000 ft then you can start hiking from there. There are amazing views and a restaurant at the top of the tram if you get hungry. This is a great summer escape. Take a chair and a book and get out of the heat. In the winter, it's cold so dress appropriately.

Murray Canyon Trail to Seven Falls is a 3.7 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Palm Springs, California that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and horses and is best used from October until March. We have never seen any horses on this trail. I highly recommend bringing plenty of water, a hat for shade and sunscreen with you on any hike in the desert.

The trail is primarily used for hiking and horses and is best used from October until March. We have never seen any horses on this trail. I highly recommend bringing plenty of water, a hat for shade and sunscreen with you on any hike in the desert.
The Bump and Grind trail is a good workout and very popular. It's straight uphill with amazing views at the top. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen and a hat.
