Room for about 30 people to eat inside. No problem getting a table after 1PM. It is across the Street from Lowman home on Hwy 76. 15 minutes Drive

This is North on HWY 76 in Little Mountain. It is an Antique Mall with two floors and lunch in the basement among all the Antiques. For those who love Antiques and Flea Markets this would be a fun place to have lunch. It is quaint. You will have to google the Antique Mall in Little Mountain.

Lake Murray Dam was once the longest dirt dam in the United States. Now it is great place to walk and see the Sunset. The is a separate Side walk for Jogging and walk all the way across the Dam. It is a great place to watch the Sunset. After or just before Sunset eat at the best Asian Restaurant in town in Irmo 5 minutes from the Dam on St. Andrews Road. Look up "Sun Ming"

Adventure - Something to do with Grandkids
It is a Top Ten Zoo. It is on the Saluda River. If you come here from somewhere else you need to go to this Zoo. No fences. Only natural barriers to keep the animals in. It is on Gray Stone Blvd about 30 minutes east on I-26.

No place like this. It is virgin forest with huge Bald Cypress Trees. Walk above the swamp on a beautiful wooden walk way leading to the beautiful River converging in Columbia by way of the Saluda River and Broad River. Down stream a few more miles and you enter the famous Santee Cooper Reserve where Landlocked Stripers were discovered. It will be worth the drive. Bring Mosquito spray with Deet.

Sightseeing
After living in Columbia area for over 50 years I decided to take a free tour with friends of our State House. You can just show up as tours are given daily. The tours last about an hour inside the State House but you can walk the grounds which is rich with history as you wait on the time for your tour. It is well worth the time. I would recommend that you do what we did, eat lunch at the "No Name Deli" at 11:30 before the crowd and then make your way to the Capital for a 1:30 tour.
It is a history lesson. SC was the first State to Succeed from the Union. Back when that happen it was assumed every State had a right to succeed. Abraham Lincoln did not agree and took action resulting in the Civil War. The Confederate Museum is close by. There is a lot of history there some would like to be forgotten. It is what it is.

Outstanding displays are 1st rate. The artifacts and flags are well conserved. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Be sure to visit this museum when visiting Columbia. You will be glad you did.
The South Carolina Confederate Relic Room & Military Museum (SCCRRMM) is located at 301 Gervais Street in downtown Columbia, South Carolina, in a building shared with the South Carolina State Museum. It was founded in 1896, and is the oldest museum in Columbia and the third oldest in the state.[1] Created by the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the museum was accredited for the third time by the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) in 2020,

Hot Dogs
Best Hot Dogs in SC at the Hotdog Truck at Wessinger Road and Hwy 76, 5 minutes from the house. You may have to stand in line a few minutes if you go at lunch. You can pick them up HOT and bring them back to 122 still hot to eat. I llove the house dog with Slaw and the house and the house dog with Chow Chow. If you never had a southern Hot Dog, then this is the place. Chili makes the Hot Dog. Closes at 3PM and not open on Sundays or Mondays.
