Our favorite is "La Favorita" (beef, chicken & shrimp served over rice with peppers & onions) plus endless fresh hot tortilla chips, full bar with lots of local beers on tap. Platter is so big that we're full even when we split it for 2 people.

There's a 1.3 mile easy hike right next to the parking lot. It's where Howard (the turtle) takes his mud bath.

Biltmore Village - no admission fee & free parking. Stroll through the unique historical shopping area. 48 Specialty Shops (clothing, gifts, cigar bars, barber shop, salons & spas); 22 great restaurants (from fast food to world renowned fine dining) including a few local breweries.
Biltmore Estate requires an admission ticket for each person, or an annual pass. Starting July 1st, 2019 - Biltmore Estate is asking that you go online to purchase your tickets, at least 7 days in advance of your planned visit. Lots of choices for the inside tour (we recommend renting the audio headsets for self-guided tours), the Gardens & the Winery. You may want to try the 2-hour long Segway Tour of the Estate grounds. Special events include a horse show the last weekend of June 2019, 4-6 (?) summer outdoor music concerts (most of which are sold-out, already!).
The most popular event each year is the arrival of several Christmas trees in early November. The Big House & grounds will be decked out with lights & candlelight tours until Jan. 3rd. Special rates for the evening candlelight tour .... so please go to their website for all the information. If you didn't get your tickets in time .... check with Jan, at the Asheville Visitor's Center. She's very helpful & may be able to give you a discount?
