The best in our opinion: Pierre is a magician.
Our favorite is the Infiniment Vanille cake. We cooked one once — took us 8 hours of work over two days! You can also try his Macarons, which are the best in town (Pierre Hermé used to be the pastry chef at Ladurée).
Go to the original rue Bonaparte shop, avoid the newer shop on St Germain boulevard.

If you want typical french food close to the apartment, don't go further. This one is literally on our doorstep and boast very well executed traditional dishes, at reasonable prices.
The decor is very typica: wany movies were shot here, including Midnight in Paris by Woodie Allen.

The Ludo Jardin (previously le poussin vert) is a miniature theme park for kids. It has slopes, a yodel, swings and sand playgrounds. It has been entirely rebuilt in 2019.

The Luxembourg gardens are 200m away from our apartment. In the central basin, usually from 10 to 6 pm, there are small boats for kids to push. So Parisian.

While at the luxembourg gardens, there are small poneys available for 10-15mn rides. It's super fun for kids.
In order to find them, enter the parc from the gates on Place Edmond Rostand, reach the central basin, and cross over to the stairs opposite. The poneys are just nearby. Checkout the map in the pictures to find the exact departure spot.
