Sightseeing
As you turn right onto State, Whitwater Park Blvd is left at the first set of lights. This is a newly developed park just outside of downtown Boise, on the river. There's kayaking as well as river surfing, a man-made sandy beach, and a huge swimming area. If you cross the bridge, right on the other side is Luciano's cafe which we love to frequent for breakfast. You can sit on the patio overlooking the river and the greenbelt. Food is good too. The surrounding neighborhood is pretty much all new development, with hip condos and townhouses featuring front patios and flowers everywhere.

If you're a movie buff, this is a cool place. Features new releases as well as foreign films. In the summer there's a patio to sit and sip wine or beer before the movie, and in the winter, a fireplace.

This is not far away. Just stay on 27th Street till it becomes Shoreline and as you cross Americana, you'll see this market on your left. Saturdays. There's another one downtown encompassing most of 8th Street.
