Just about a 20 minute walk (or 5-10 minute drive) away from the apartment is beautiful Granville Island, a little inlet located just south of downtown Vancouver. Granville Island is a popular place to visit, thanks to its photogenic waterfront scenery, public market (open daily) stocked full of local treats such as salmon jerky(!); a variety of independent shops, breweries, and restaurants; improv, comedy and theatre shows, and walking and biking trails to other gorgeous waterfront locations in Vancouver. Once here, you can even take local tiny boats to other attractions such as Science World (on False Creek), Kits beach and English Bay!
