mmmm... amazing ice cream ('Kinder' or 'pistaccio' are the best-but really all are good). Sicilians love the ice-cream in a 'brioche'. A kind of ice-cream-bread. They have also all sorts if drinks and a kicker there.
In front of the piazza you find 'Al Panino Sotto Le Stelle by Angelo' a car-kiosk that has amazing bread that you can compile of your own choice. real, delicious italian fast food (panino: after 7pm, la briciola is already open during the day).

it's the closest Beach (15-20min drive)- very relaxed and not busy. 'Spiaggia Libera' for free or Lido Albatros (Mascali) or Lido Calypso-my favorite (Fondachello) are nice (10€ lettino e ombrello)

About 1h 20min by car from my house you can reach this magical place. A 40min tough downhill (after the swim uphill!!) path (not easy with flip flops) ends at a couple of crystal clear ponds. you can jump from the hills aside. please be careful at times the ponds are very slippery and walking back up with a broken foot is no fun. Dinner at nearby Noto village is beautiful.

About 1h 20min by car from my house you can reach this magical place. A 40min tough downhill (after the swim uphill!!) path (not easy with flip flops) ends at a couple of crystal clear ponds. you can jump from the hills aside. please be careful at times the ponds are very slippery and walking back up with a broken foot is no fun. Dinner at nearby Noto village is beautiful.

But its famous, fashionable and charming (don't pay the 5€ to entrance the isola-there is nothing really on there), but better use the cash for a local snorcheling boat trip or the cable car ('funivia Mazzarò') up into the village to check out the

A very nice, family friendly trekking. the first 20min are pretty steep but it's doable and the trail is comfortable. Finally one has an amazing view into 'the Valle del Bove' and up to one of the biggest crater of Mount Etna.

You should start here: (coordinates 37.8887907, 15.1165713) to park your car to walk lake upwards. the trail should lead you left at a certain point in order to arrive at the Chapel (coordinates 37.8879467, 15.1038194)
