This is much more than a park and is a Vancouver staple. It goes blocks and blocks, has the most beautiful gardens and great for a picnic. Free to enter and lots of parking (mostly paid).

This is the "uppity" neighbourhood of downtown. You'll likely run into some famous people here (or people who think they're famous). Very cute shops, fancy restaurants, and lounges.

Trendy neighbourhood, has a big beach and lots of shops/restaurants to explore.
Sports!
Cheap fun baseball games. It's just below the major league, so tickets are easily accessible and affordable (and so is food when you're there). It's a 5 minute bike ride or bit longer of a walk. Totally worth it.

Downtown beach in the westend (DT neighbourhood). You can rent bikes all around here and go around the seawall, hit up stanley park and get some nature right in the heart of the city.

Good for kids
So much fun! Great if you're coming with kids or just like science. It does have adult-only nights every so often, which are really cool. Right next to a subway stop.
