Take a Walk!
If you feel like taking a walk, besides walking into and out of shops on Warren Street, you can log a good number of steps and enjoy fantastic beauty without going far!
Walk down to the riverfront park, just beyond the Amtrak station. Also has a parking area and restroom. Dog friendly (leashed).

Rip Van Winkle Bridge
You can walk or jog across the Hudson from Greenport (town next to Hudson) over to Catskill on the other side of the river. You might want to drive to the bridge, park, then walk across and back. Visit Catskill first and tour the Thomas Cole house!

There are very few public swimming pools in the Hudson area, so I have compiled this list. All of our family has swum in each of these pools, so we are happy to answer any questions you might have.

Excellent guided tours of the house. Also, on the grounds, the FDR Library and Museum. Also, Eleanor’s personal cottage ValKill, the greatest she-shed ever, is a short drive away, and guided tours are available. FDR’s personal space, Top Cottage, is another short drive away, and is likewise fascinating, and guided tours are available.
