~20-30 minute walk to downtown. ~Ride share services are $8-12 to the downtown areas during normal travel time. ~Blue Bikes—very affordable & fun way to see the city if the weather is nice! You need to download the app, but there are a few hubs a few blocks from the house. Search in the app store for “Blue Bikes New Orleans.” You can literally leave the bike anywhere you’d like & usually it is $2 TOTAL per trip downtown. ~Bus/Streetcar—our public transportation is quite slow, but the streetcar is charming. No stops close to the house on that, but bus stops are close.

~There is always a big night out in the quarter, no matter what day of the week! ~Do not forget, go-cups are a thing! No glass is allowed on the streets, so use paper or plastic! ~Liquor is sold everywhere! Gas stations & drug stores usually have as big of a selection as grocery stores. ~Frenchmen street has the most live music right outside the quarter.
