It's a good idea to stock up at the duty free store for beer, wine and spirits before your trip (if you drink of course). This is due to the fact that only government owned stores sell alcohol, and it is expensive and the opening hours are not consumer friendly so to speak. All beer you see in convenience stores, is non alcoholic beer or only 2% beer.

Do not tip. The waiters and staff are paid a decent wage here in Iceland, and that is included in the price you pay for the services, so no need for tipping.

It can be overbooked at the blue lagoon, so if you want to make that a part of your trip, then I recommend booking it in advance.

The water from the tap all over Iceland is the same as you get in the water bottles available in stores, so you can buy a bottle at first (if you don't have a travel bottle with you) and then just fill it up with tap water. Trust me on this, nobody in Iceland buys bottled water.
