It is now a Botanical Garden which still has 1 tree dating back to the 16 hundreds -Its vibrant, free and the SA Museum, Planetarium and National Art Gallery and the beautiful National Library are all located there!

Take your hired car and drive 5 minutes away to park in a free parking zone and catch free bus up to the cableway station, or alternatively take a taxi or uber or hop on hop off bus.

Take your hired car and drive 5 minutes away to park in a free parking zone and catch free bus up to the cableway station, or alternatively take a taxi or uber or hop on hop off bus.
This is the best view of Cape Town if you cannot experience Table Mountain due to closure because of wind or rain or fog. Its Free!!! You can watch the sunset or the tandem paragliders and its 7 to 10 minutes away from our place. This is the best view of Cape Town if you cannot experience Table Mountain due to closure because of wind or rain or fog. Its Free!!! You can watch the sunset or the tandem paragliders and its 7 to 10 minutes away from our place. Beautiful place to visit. If you are here on a Sunday do not miss the Kirstenbosch Summer Concerts from 17h30 to 19h30 gates open at 16h00. Grab a picnic and some wine and sit on the grass with the natural amphitheatre which is Table Mountain and listen to awesome South African artists.

Always have something with sleeves in case the wind comes up and it gets cool. Always have sunscreen cap, sunglasses and water and especially if walking up Lions Head or Table Mountain.
