In a sober but chic, bistrot-style décor, they serve classic French dishes - including snails! La Piscine also has a large street-side terrace, making it a nice place to go for a glass of wine.

Translates to "The stepmother who smokes"! I hear all their meals are excellent, but I've only been for brunch (many, many times - Saturdays only, as they're closed Sundays). It's my favorite brunch in Paris. Their extremely thin and crispy french fries are to die for.

Their Argentinian sandwiches (areperas) are delicious. Great juices and cocktails too.

This old train station has recently been turned into one of the hippest café/bars in town. Everything at Le Recyclerie is made from recycled objects, giving it lots of charm. Seating is available not just inside the large, sunny building but also outside, with picnic tables nested along the former railroad tracks. There, they've also built a herb garden and a chicken coop.
I recommend their delicious ginger lemonades and bissap juices, which you can order by the pitcher. They also serve nice brunches on the weekend; the menu is always changing.

The drinks are not cheap, but worth the price - the bartenders are very talented. (Not to mention that the drinks are quite strong).
A good option, for four people or more, is to share the giant cocktails that come in conch shells or model volcanoes.
Last but not least - if you visit Paris on a hot summer day, you'll appreciate the fact that this is one of the very few air-conditioned bars in Paris... Arrive early if you want to secure a seat.
