Tootsies is one of the original Nashville Honky Tonks. Known for great music and cold drinks, while this isn't a spot to get a bite to eat, it's definitely a spot to sit and listen to our city's greatest local artists.

One of Nashville's original upscale watering holes, The Oak Bar is known for its craft cocktails, impeccable service and famous men's bathroom. Located in the basement of the historic Hermitage Hotel, the bar used to connect to the State Capitol building by tunnel before modern buildings blocked the passage. If you see men with earpieces in their ears, don't be alarmed - it's likely just that the Governor, Lt. Governor or House Speaker are visiting the bar or restaurant that evening.

The Authentique is a small, cozy wine bar with heavy hors d'oeuvres. Great selection of authentic french wine! Not a far walk from the Guest House! If you're wanting to go to Once Upon a Time in France for dinner and there is a wait, walk across the street to this place for a glass of wine while you wait for your table! Alexander is the man behind the place and will never steer you wrong on a while selection!

Owned my Maneet Chauhan of Food Network fame, this indian fusion spot is a great lunch or dinner spot. Amazing hand-made drinks and the food is perfection. We hit up Chauhan's as often as we can!
Monday happy hour from 5:00pm to 6:30pm includes $6 bar bites and $5-$7 select cocktails, wine, and beer.

Sightseeing
If you're interested in visiting one of the oldest working state Capitol buildings in the country, then definitely make time to visit the Tennessee State Capitol. Built between 1845 and 1859, the Tennessee Capitol still is the meeting place of the state House and Senate and houses the offices of the Governor and other state officials. The Legislature is in Session annually from January until April or May. Public tours are available and the bicentennial mall adjacent to the capitol is a great place to stretch your legs and grab a bite to eat at the Nashville's Farmers Market. If you have any questions don't hesitate to let Luke know, since this is where he works!
