You can walk from there to Zandvoort en go back by train (Zandvoort Station-Haarkem Station). Also you can stroll to IJmuiden and visit the famous fush harbor with its seefood restaurants.

The lake itself with bison and births is stunning and reminds me of 'Out of Afrika'!

You can go there by bike, the bus that starts upfront the airbnb or by car (paid parking). When snowing in winter nice sledging o the steep dunes.
