From my home, you are only 15 minutes away from Old Town Alexandria via 95 North.
Old Town Alexandria has been voted by Oprah Magazine and others as one of the best cities to visit and enjoy in the USA!! It has cobbled stone streets with many things to do and enjoy whether you are by yourself, a group, or a special someone.
Old Town Alexandria has a fantastic waterfront, a trolley to move within the city, many antique shops and various types of stores to shop, fabulous restaurants with specialties in seafood, Italian, Spanish, American and many other types of restaurants and bars, bakeries and ice cream parlors. A variety to please all sorts of taste and palates.
You may also enjoy walking into the Torpedo Factory Center where you can observe, see and purchase fantastic art work from many local artists. You will find paintings, souvenirs, clothing, scarfs and many type of gadgets that you will not find anywhere else.
You may also enjoy taking a Water Taxi either into the National Harbor, Georgetown in DC, or Mt. Vernon, George Washington’s home.
You may also visit the Alexandria City Hall located in the center of the city. You will be glad you visited this cozy and special city!

You may also enjoy visiting the beautiful Gaylord Resort and Convention Center where you can have a drink at the Rooftop bar and enjoy a night view of the harbor or enjoy the other restaurants and bars located inside the resort.
While at the National Harbor, you may also enjoy gambling at the fantastic MGM CASINO, and if you really want to do some heavy shopping, just go to the Tánger Outlet Center located nearby and see every kind of store you can think of! Enjoy!

Visit other nearby museums in the vicinity such as the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Washington Monument, the White House, the Capitol, the Martin Luther King Memorial, the National Museum of African History and Culture, the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, the Tidal Basin, the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, the Holocaust Museum, the John F. Kennedy Center, etc. There is so much to see that it will take you 2-3 days to see everything! There is no place like Washington DC for sightseeing! Wear good and comfortable walking shoes!

My home is about 20 minutes away via 395 from Arlington, Virginia, another city full of fun things to do and many sites to see.
Arlington has so many places to visit such as the Arlington National Cemetery, the Pentagon, the US Marine Corps War Memorial, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial to name a few.
While in Arlington, be sure visit the Ballston area, full of restaurants, bars and an inside Mall full of various shops and a large inside eatery. While visiting the city of McLean, you will want to go to Tyson’s Galleria, which is only 20 minutes away from my home.
The Tyson’s Galleria It’s an incredible place to shop with such stores as Saks 5th Avenue, Macy’s, Newman Marcus and many more.

Tysons Galleria Shopping Center
2001 International DrWhile visiting the city of McLean, you will want to go to Tyson’s Galleria, which is only 20 minutes away from my home.
The Tyson’s Galleria It’s an incredible place to shop with such stores as Saks 5th Avenue, Macy’s, Newman Marcus and many more.
Shop the brands you love at the best shopping Mall in Northern, Virginia. Visit this great and large mall not only for shopping, but for dining and entertainment! You won’t regret it!
Kingstowne Center is a strip mall and is located 5 minutes away from my home on South Van Dorn Street.
At Kingstowne you can find a variety of fast food restaurants such as Panera Bread, Noodles, Taco Bell, Fish Bone, Chipotle, Burger King and Ledo’s Pizza. There is also a large Giant superstore if you need groceries, a Starbuck’s and other local stores such as Ross, TJ Maxx and Home Goods. For entertainment you have a 12-movie theatre to see the latest movies.
