Confeitaria Colombo is a very traditional confectionary shop in the city. The most beautiful one is in the city center but this one in "Forte de Copacabana" is very close from the apartment and its possible to enjoy a very nice breakfast/brunch. It's not the cheapest but its ok!
If you like Açaí go to Tacacá! It's the best in town. Also order the crab dish they have! They only accept cash.

For me Leme is the best place to enjoy the beach in Rio if you don't want to go far. Relax in the sand and try our "mate limão" and "biscoito globo"
