We love visiting the Yorkshire Dales. Visit Burnsall where you can park by the river to relax and play in the water. there is an abundance of cray fish, my son brought 70 home can cooked them in garlic. a beautiful walk along the river to Grassington and back or catch a bus back, buses don't run every day. 1 hour 42. Unless peak traffic
Recommend an early start.

very quirky, amazing history of smugglers, visit the free museum. beautiful views, fossil and crabbing beach. we love this place. nice fish and chips. walk through some of the narrow winding streets, its amazing. visit Whitby. 1 hour 48.

coxley Valley is our nearest woods for a quick walk. we walk and cycle here all the time. great when you want to get out but haven't much time. 3 mins away. park on coxley lane, small car park at the bottom. See walk marked in blue on my photo. Turn right at the small duck pond for a Fairly short walk, or continue and cross the stream to walk back across the field for a longer walk.

Coxley Viewcoxley Valley is our nearest woods for a quick walk. we walk and cycle here all the time. great when you want to get out but haven't much time. 3 mins away. park on coxley lane, small car park at the bottom. See walk marked in blue on my photo. Turn right at the small duck pond for a Fairly short walk, or continue and cross the stream to walk back across the field for a longer walk.

My boys like catching crayfish in the river here. combine with a visit to Ripon town or Brimham rocks. if you continue past the abbey there is an ice cream parlour. if you don't want to pay for Fountains abbey, ( national trust) you can visit studly Royal and just pay for car park.
