If you're visiting north west France you can't go wrong with a visit to the site of the DD landings and this is one of the museums in the area. From here it's a short drive to the American Cemetery which is well worth a visit. An educational, yet somber day out.

One of the icons of France. Well worth a visit and is a full day out for all the family. There are several restaurants and shops within the walls of Mont Saint-Michel so plenty to keep you entertained. From the parking area to Le Mont you can walk, take a bus or even a horse tram. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes because there are many places to explore.

The picturesque medieval city of Sainte-Suzanne is a great place to go for lovers of history. Plenty of things to do and you can even take a walk along the castle ramparts. Maps of the town are available from the local tourist office and you can hire an audio-guide from the museum inside the chateau.
