Located in the center of the city, just a few steps from the banks of the Bega River, Rozelor Park is another famous attraction of Timişoara. In fact, it could be said that the fame of Timisoara as a city of parks or a city of roses is largely due to this park. Arranged in 1928, the Roses Park has changed many names, faces and surfaces. Today, the only thing that has in common with the old rosary known abroad and countries is the number of varieties of roses, over 1200. Timişoara celebrates since 2009, "Rose Day", every last Thursday of May.
