Another local favorite. Especially good for sandwiches, pastries, bread and buns. Ole's favorite is the Musli bread sandwich with Norwegian Brown Cheese. Yum.

Floating Fjord Sauna.
Super nice sauna right in the middle of the fjord right by the opera. Jump right in the fjord and get back inside! 5 min walk from the apartment.

A little sculpture park in the green hill you can see from the living room. Ole's favorite place for a morning/afternoon run with some nice view points over Oslo.

Oslo Central Station for trains. Only a 5 min walk from the apartment. It only takes 19 min with a train to or from the airport from here. This is great and easy way to get to the airport. Look for the sign that says "Flytoget".

Public Transportation and Public Transportation Ticket App
It is very easy to get around town with public transportation in Oslo. Closest stops from the apartment are "Bjørvika", "Tollboden" and "Jernbanetorget" (depending on where your going).
The public transportation app used for buying tickets is called "RuterBillett" and works for all the buses, trams, and metros.

Try one of the ferry options and visit one of the small islands for lunch in the summer. A favorite of ours is Gressholmen Kro.
