Awesome views of the Grand Canyon! Beautiful!! We like to pack a lunch and eat at a picnic table there. We stop either on the way too the North Rim or on our way back at Jacob's Lake restaurant and get a milk shake or one of their famously delicious cookies to go with our picnic!! So many fantastic views! This is a seasonal park so I would advise you to check their website for closure information!!

Bryce Canyon is filled with beautiful hoodoos, awesome trails and sites you won't believe. The small little village has a couple restaurants or you can pack a lunch for the day.

This is like a smaller Bryce Canyon, beautiful views and lots of hiking trails. It's a little quieter than Bryce and more secluded.

Sightseeing
Lake Powell is amazing. There are boat tours you can take, rent a boat, or hire a fishing guide. You can also hike trails around the lake. There are numerous guides in Kanab that can take you right to any of the trails. I can refer you to a few I know personally :)

The Sand Dunes are so much fun!! It's like a giant sandbox for the grown ups who are still kids at heart. Rent an ATV or sand board and have a day full of adventure. I know plenty of guides that can take you there or just hook you up with what you need!

12500 Sand Dune RoadThe Sand Dunes are so much fun!! It's like a giant sandbox for the grown ups who are still kids at heart. Rent an ATV or sand board and have a day full of adventure. I know plenty of guides that can take you there or just hook you up with what you need!
We love Jackson Flat reservoir, my kids like to take their kayaks down there with their friends and spend the day. There is a paved trail that goes all the way around it that is great for a nice walk or bike ride. I believe it is equivalent to a 5K. There is a plethora of water fowl like shore birds, ducks and geese.

We love Jackson Flat reservoir, my kids like to take their kayaks down there with their friends and spend the day. There is a paved trail that goes all the way around it that is great for a nice walk or bike ride. I believe it is equivalent to a 5K. There is a plethora of water fowl like shore birds, ducks and geese.
Essentials
I love Honey's Market Place. This is where my family likes to do our shopping. It's a small town and everyone is friendly. Honey's is very clean and has a great deli where you can get a cheaper lunch. They offer daily specials and you can eat right there at the tables. Wednesday they even have a chicken fried steak! My kids love the Mac and Cheese!

260 E 300 SI love Honey's Market Place. This is where my family likes to do our shopping. It's a small town and everyone is friendly. Honey's is very clean and has a great deli where you can get a cheaper lunch. They offer daily specials and you can eat right there at the tables. Wednesday they even have a chicken fried steak! My kids love the Mac and Cheese!

This place is so delicious! They are only open in the evenings Tuesday through Saturday 5-10pm. They have everything from burgers to steak and yummy salads. There is one steak that I've seen a whole table of people sharing!! One of my favorites is the steak salad and my kids like the pulled pork sandwich.

78 W Center StThis place is so delicious! They are only open in the evenings Tuesday through Saturday 5-10pm. They have everything from burgers to steak and yummy salads. There is one steak that I've seen a whole table of people sharing!! One of my favorites is the steak salad and my kids like the pulled pork sandwich.
One of our favorites as a family. They have lots of options for everyone. Burgers, corn dogs, waffle fries, tots, the menu is huge. We love the ice-cream! Its soft serve, they have lots of fun flavors and options, root-beer floats, shakes, cones, ect. In the winter my favorite thing to get is hot chocolate with ice cream in it!!

185 E 300 SOne of our favorites as a family. They have lots of options for everyone. Burgers, corn dogs, waffle fries, tots, the menu is huge. We love the ice-cream! Houston's Trail's End Restaurant
32 E Center StHouston's is a local favorite. They have a traditional menu with burgers, chicken fried steak, salads, chicken quesadillas. Large servings too. Speaking of large servings; their PIE is so delicious and huge! My favorite is the banana cream pie! Yummo!!! This place gets packed in the evening so I would try to get there a little early.

This is basically the office of tourism and visitors center. They have the most helpful and friendly people. Look for the big blue buffalo outside in front. The office is right on hwy 89 across from the Hampton Inn. They have all the information on local hiking trails and hidden gems and guides to get you there. The have maps and information you won't find anywhere else. They can point you in the direction of trails that lead to dinosaur tracks or to trails that lead to slot canyons or the tops of the cliffs! Kanab is a wonderful place to explore!
