Hidden among North Alabama‘s wooded pines, the 700+ -acre family park offers numerous activities for all ages ... 18 hole golf course, 25-acre wooded campground, year round indoor ice skating rink and a seasonal water park complete with 3 pools, lazy river, water slides, picnic tables, and for large gatherings they have several pavilions for rent. Additional facilities include tennis courts, batting cages, a 3 mile hiking/jogging/biking trail, and a driving range.
Popular events include the Alabama Jubilee Festival held Memorial Day Weekend, The Spirit of America Festival July 3rd - 4th, and the Battle for Decatur, Civil War Reenactment held Labor Day weekend.

If you love fresh veggies and you´re in town I highly recommend this market! During the growing season farmers from several counties participate in selling their produce, home made jellies and jams, desserts, cakes, pies, fresh eggs, crafts, fresh pork, fresh poultry ... you name it and you most likely can buy it here!!
I'm not much into chain restaurants but will give credit where credit is due! This particular location has great bartenders, great service, and great food! And it´s close to home!
