If in need of a good coffee, sweet treat or gelato this is the go-to place. It's also usually open on Public Holidays when other places are closed. It does open later at 9am. They roast their own coffee on-site. Great location on the waterfront boulevard

It's an energetic uphill hike that you will be rewarded with even more stunning views. Best on a nice calm and fine day. Wear good footwear and take water and some snacks and a jacket if attempting Rocky Mountain (3hr return, 7km).
Diamond Lake carpark is a 15 minute drive from the Studio, heading northwest towards Glendhu Bay and Mt Aspiring National Park

Follows the track along the Clutha river as it flows out of Lake Wanaka towards the sea on the East of the South Island. Really pretty, particularly in the morning. You might see trout feeding in the shallows at this time too

Rocky Mountain Lake Wanaka viewpoint
West Wanaka RoadAn extension to the Diamond Lake track for a 3 hour return loop hike. Quite steep in some sections, worthy of the fabulous views at the top. Wear good sturdy shoes, take water and snacks and pack another layer. Best in fine, blue sky and calm days
