Sightseeing

Must see locations to visit
In summer, Promised Lands is a popular swimming spot that offers crystal clear waters for swimming. Rope swings are scattered throughout the trees for the thrill seekers wanting a rush of adrenaline. They can be found along the river in many of the swimming holes. In the winter months, this is a place of recreational white water rafting where tour groups and equipped adventurers take to the waters and travel along the never never river. The colour of the water as you see it in our photos is the true colour of the never never river. The minerals in the rocks the water pass over give it the distinct blue tint. Finding Promised Lands You can find Promised Lands on Promised lands road, Belligen. There are a few starting points for the walk but generally, you start by parking in the carpark after the first bridge. This is an unsealed road but is fine for standard 2wds. The walk from here generally begins by heading upstream and following the river along. You will notice paths through the trees, these all lead to the same place which opens up to a wide swimming hole with a rope swing.
