Or sit on the dock and observe. Loons are very present on the lake, you are likely to see and hear them calling.
Also in the woods across from our driveway is our back lot.
(3 acres). There is a huge outcropping of giant boulders in the forest. See if you can find them by starting at the telephone pole near the end of the driveway, cross the street and pretty much walking straight up the hill. (welcome book at the home includes a map)
