Learn to SUP and Surf at Topsea Surfing Center
Established in 1957 by a lifeguard nicknamed Topsea, this surfing center is known as the first of its kind in Israel, and carries the name of its founder. Topsea offers surf and SUP lessons and rentals for all ages (ability to swim is a must). The center’s small, cozy office provides a homey, personal touch for customers.
Topsea operate all year-long, seven days a week from 8am to sunset, but they won’t send people out into the choppy seas so call ahead to see if the water is calm enough. Beginners can take advantage of Gordon Beach, which has a soft, sandy bottom and a calm area for practicing.
Topsea is located in an exclusive location accessed only from the famous three-story steps that start at Gordon beach and end at Kikar Atarim. If you are walking from your hotel in Tel Aviv, which is just a 15 minute walk north along the boardwalk, you will need to walk up just two flights of stairs from the beach and walk around the corner to the left.
We are just 10 minutes north of the surf club and 15 minutes south of the Marina and Topsea–all on foot!

A green walk in the big city
Not far from your apartment in Tel Aviv and within walking distance from the coolest nightlife spots, you can find plenty of nature walking along HaYarkon river, one of the largest rivers in the area. A graffiti tour in South Tel Aviv

Ha’Atzmaut Trail
Ha’Atzmaut Trail is one kilometer long and is clearly marked so you can easily find your way. You can download a free app that offers historical information on all the sites along this trail, as well as games for the kids.

A walk by the sea
This walk will lead you through the beautiful beaches of Tel Aviv, important historical sites and refreshing shopping and leisure centers. We recommend you start at the Jaffa Port, which is one of the oldest ports in the world. There, you can see the famous Andromeda’s Rock, read about the ancient legend and visit the Clock Tower. There, on the beach, continue on to Etzel Museum for a quick history lesson and then visit HaTachana shopping compound, which used to be the Old Jaffa train station, for some shopping, a delicious meal in one of the restaurants or some ice cream. With no shortage of fresh air, you can stroll along the beach promenade or rent a bike and cycle on the beautiful bike path. These are such great ways to enjoy the view of the stunning sea, and choose from one of the splendid beaches. The extent of the path reaches Tel Baruch in the North and Jaffa in the South. Of course, you can relish in a short stroll and still manage to pass by many of the popular beaches.
