Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is well worth the hour and a half drive for a day trip. Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive will not disappoint with the covered bridge and spectacular views. #9 is a must stop for the steep bluffs, views of Lake Michigan, and of course the famous dune climb. Yes, on a clear day the views really are that amazing.
