Well, it is also very much a bar. They have crazy fried chicken on waffles and maple syrup on the menu. Great burgers to. It's a vibe. Upstairs is also a delicious Ramen place which i will add to recommendations next.

The only ramen restaurant in Cape Town. So good. Love the porkbelly ramen but the vegetarian ones are not bad. I also love sake so this is my go to place for that!

Because it is an iconic place for me. Always been there. The food is great and this place just works. Easily forgotten but always so nice when i remember it is still there. Love Portuguese food! For groups, definitely book. This is a popular place amongst locals.

Old school!! Word has it that this is where the best steak lives!! And i think I agree!. It's kind of like an English pub style. The accompanying veggies are wonderful!

As a child I used to come here a lot with my mum. It has been revamped recently. Still lovely to sit amongst the trees and nature so close to the penthouse. Don't forget to get some pea nuts to feed the squirrels.

Best Greek food in town. Also on a quaint sweet square called Dunkley Square. A must for Greek food!

Well, it is really a Saloon. I Love this place! One of my favourite hidden places in Cape Town. I love the music and the locals. Depending on the day and the person walking in, it could be a bit intimidating but soon you will find it to be the friendliest place in town. The coldest beers in the Cape. Candle lit every night apart from Mondays when it is closed. The local water hole dressed as a timeless Western Saloon with swinging doors and all. Wayne, the owner and bar man is a busy funny friend of mine. Please let him know I recommended it. He might be kinder to me next time. :)

Nothing really beats a cocktail at this very graceful Planet Bar! The famous Mount Nelson Hotel has the most exquisite garden to walk through. A definite favourite.

Whole areas of perfectly fine Victorian architecture were bulldozed. The documented pictures or the people and the place which is now mainly vacant can be found here.

This was the park that I sometimes skipped school to go to. Eeeek. Did i just say that? Anyway, It is stunning to sit by the stream or walk a bit further up the stream to take a good look up the mountain. It is above the houses on the edge of Table Mountain.
