The city of Arts and Sciences, consisting of Europe's biggest aquarium, 3d cinema, science museum, opera/concert hall and a huge garden.
Wander around the cooling waters taking in the incredible architecture of the buildings, have a picnic on the surrounding park, get a rowing boat or for the more energetic maybe some water zorbing!
Dusk through to night see's the lights come on. Maybe book in to see an opera, a free concert or just sit and have a drink watching the world go by!

Here you will also find the 1850's bullring (Plaza del Toros). It no longer holds bullfights but hosts a museum whereby access to the ring can be gained.

The buzzing old town of El carmen is an easy 15minute cycle from our house, and made up of narrow winding, graffiti streets (take a walking tour, here), with cafes, tapas, fashion boutiques and late night bars.

Make sure to check out the local food market (open mornings Monday-Saturday)
It also has Central Park, or "parque Central de Valencia" with beautiful landscaped gardens, and "the Jewish House", a beautifully designed Valencian art deco residential building.
